Last month, I met Sebastian Junger, the renowned American author, journalist and documentary filmmaker who is best known for his international best-seller The Perfect Storm: A True Story of Men Against The Sea (1997). On his last major work Restrepo (2010), Junger worked with – co-wrote/directed/shot Restrepo – the late British-American photojournalist Tim Hetherington (December 1970–April 2011). Hetherington was killed by Libyan forces while covering the Libyan civil war in 2011.
Soon after, Junger set out to document Which Way is the Frontline From Here? The Life and Time of Tim Hetherington which is scheduled to air on HBO, later today.
