Daughter of a self-taught painter, Homa began painting in high school on Long Island (NY), in the late 1980’s. Homa also wrote her unpublished doctoral dissertation on the comparative histories of museums in emerging markets, at Oxford Uni (UK).
Starting in early 2013, Homa returned to her roots as a visual artist, on a full-time basis, making mixed media conceptual art with focus on cinema, as well as her experiences of having lived through a revoution, a war and migration …
Since circa 1997, Homa has divided her time between Nantucket … and elsewhere around the globe.
