The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has sold 50 millions copies – and read by another 10 million – in 46 countries. Penned by Swedish author Stieg Larsson, the book, now the subject of a highly anticipated movie, is about journalist Mikael Blomkvist and computer hacker Lisbeth Salander played by Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. Happy Chanukah Courtesy the Re-Opening of The Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam

The Portugese Synagogue in Amsterdam will be officially reopened today in the presence of Queen Beatrix. The Esnoga, dating from 1675, has been extensively restored in the past two years. The synagogue is still in use and its interior is still as it was in 1675.
