SUBMISSIONS

Thank you for your interest in sharing your critical observations, encounters, and experiences as they pertain to Museum Views' mission:

We are a growing multi-lingual & multi-cultural community of museum and visual arts professionals. Our mission is to chart historic and contemporary trends in collecting and exhibiting visual arts by individual and institutional collectors. We are particularly interested in encounters between private collectors and public institutions. This includes private - individual and institutional - patronage of visual arts through public organizations, especially museums and exhibition spaces.

We welcome contributions from museum and arts professionals. We also invite poets, philosophers, writers and visual artists - painters, sculptors, film-makers, architects, designers, etc - to share their observations of the relationship between various aspects of public and private collections and their exhibitions.

News, Reviews & Articles:

-We will consider news (press), reviews & articles of 500 to 1500 words.

-If you are proposing to publish an article on historic aspects of collection, exhibition and patronage, please consider relating it to developments in modern and contemporary trends and practices.

-Please take care to carefully edit your work; this will give you greater control over the final published version of your submission.

Photoessay, artists' work & other photo submissions:

-You are responsible for the pictures' copyright, this includes making sure that you have permission to publish interior scenes from museums and galleries, theater, etc.

-We accept 8-12 photos per submission.

-Images must be at least 72 and at most 250 dpi resolution, in JPG or GIF format ONLY.

-Images may not be larger than 6 x 8 inches or smaller than 3 x 4 inches.

-Please send your submissions individually as JPG (NOT as a zip or hqx or any other kind of file).

-Images should preferably be uploaded on another web site from which address we will download.

-Museum Views does not accept hard copies of your work.

Please bear in mind that:

-At present time, we are unable to pay our contributors.

-We will not accept anonymous pieces.

-We hold the write to edit submissions without prior notice.

Note:

Before submitting your work, please send a brief  proposal; we shall get back to you at the earliest possible time. Proposals may be no longer than 250 words and two photographs.
