Kamera Lauft, Kunsthalle, Basel, Switzerland
BASEL - Kunsthalle Basel is sponsoring the art mediation film project “Camera Running [Kamera läuft].” The Mysterious K, filmed by the student of a local secondary school (Binningen-Bottmingen), tells the story of the organization of the Kunsthalle’s latest exhibition, 6 Artists from Basel 2x. The project is designed to introduce the students to contemporary art and the working mechanisms of one of its representing institution, in addition to different aspects of making a documentary film.
6 Artists from Basel 2x is comprised of two exhibitions each of which showcase works of six artists based in Basel. The show examines the concepts of regionalism, and curatorial practices – as they relate to collectivism for convenience’s sake.
